Originally formed in the 1950’s as “Alfabs Engineers“, the company has been owned and operated as a ‘family business’ since 1986 and remains under the direct management of the family owners. The owners of the company are committed to maintaining their reputation of providing professional engineering services while maintaining personal service and relationship with our clients. Alfabs maintain some 60 employees with a wide range of engineering experience; including structural steel, detailed duct and pipework, coal conveyor and storage projects and scheduled on site maintenance projects. In addition we have more than 5 acres suitable for storage and pre-assembly work and in conjuction with Alfabs Protective Coatings division Alfabs Engineering offers a total One-Stop-package for our valued customers. Alfabs workshop is located in Kurri Kurri in the Hunter Valley. The main workshop comprises of 3000 square metres under cover, one 30 Tonne and three 15 Tonne overhead cranes (2 pair in tandem) with 7.2 metres under hook. The workshop size enables the use of mobile cranes to supplement lifting capacity. Alfabs have fabricated up to 150 Tonne sections in this workshop. Equipment
